As many of you will have noticed, the boat is looking fantastic after all the hours of hard work put into it during the Spring by our Commodore Andy Morrill, his wife Claire; Bosun Glenn Stevens and Vernon Bush.
Anything that didn’t move, Andy has sanded down and teak oiled. The wood on deck; the table; cabin doors that were delaminating and re-stained and varnished; the steps were taken apart and have been sanded and revarnished, the little seat above the anchor also getting attention. Whilst Andy sanded, Claire was deep cleaning and Glenn and Vernon were replacing lines and checking the rigging.
All the upholstery onboard has been replaced and we now have a comfortable five inches of foam to sleep on courtesy of Richard Foulkes’ organisation skills.
Our thanks as a club go to Andy and his team for all their hard work in giving Eagle her ten year makeover.
