The Club cruises and tutorials are excellent

“Spread Eagle Sailing Club represents an opportunity to pursue an interest in sailing without the hassle of owning a boat, and in great company.  The booking process is straightforward, availability has never been a problem, and it represents very good value for money.  “Eagle” is well maintained, and treated with care by all who use her.  She is comfortable and extremely well equipped.  The Club cruises and tutorials are excellent.  The Club is suitable for experienced skippers and novices alike, and offers the chance to learn in a safe, encouraging environment.  I would thoroughly recommend the Club.”

join Spread Eagle Sailing Club now!

“I joined SESC about 15 years ago and it remains one of the best decisions I’ve made. I did my Competent Crew on my first trip and in 2005 did my RYA Day Skipper and got my “Club Ticket” to skipper the boat! This gave me the confidence to bare boat charter in the Med and to encourage friends to join, a number who went on to become skippers themselves. If you want to join a sailing club, experienced or not….look no further….join Spread Eagle Sailing Club now!”

Everyone I have sailed with has been eager to teach

“I learnt to sail through Spread Eagle Sailing Club 7 years ago. I joined as a complete beginner, so I signed up for the club activities either by myself or with my family. I started with the ‘Easy Going’ weekends and now continue to be inspired by those who skipper and  attend the Masterclass weekends where I am surrounded by years of knowledge and experience. Now, along with RYA exams I am a Coastal Skipper, hold an ‘A’ ticket with the club and skipper the Ladies Weekends for the club which last year included a prosecco lunch break anchored off West Wittering Beach on a hot summers day.

The club has enabled me to be able to warm water sail in Greece with my family and in Croatia this year with other club members who are now friends.

Everyone I have sailed with has been eager to teach, friendly and fun and I enjoy everyday with them on the water.”

I have enjoyed lots of sailing and made new friends

“Drawn to the club by a friend and taken sailing with many of his chums I have enjoyed lots of sailing and made new friends. I brought friends along for trips and a number are now sailing as skippers in their own right. The boat is very well maintained and the routines are simple to follow and quickly become part of the experience. A peaceful evening on Eagle in Newtown Creek in September when it’s quiet, apart from the birds, What’s not to like.”
